Meet Amber Craig, LPC
Behavioral Health Clinician | Estacada Clinic
Amber Craig is a Licensed Professional Counselor with five years of experience providing compassionate, trauma-informed behavioral health care. She brings a deep commitment to whole-person wellness and a strong belief in meeting patients where they are—both emotionally and within their communities.
Professional Background
Amber’s clinical experience spans both community mental health and group practice settings, where she has focused on improving access to care and supporting underserved populations. Her work is rooted in collaboration, and she values being part of interdisciplinary healthcare teams that allow for more integrated, patient-centered care.
She specializes in integrated behavioral health and trauma-informed care, with clinical interests that include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based techniques. Her approach is practical, supportive, and strengths-based, helping patients build skills they can carry into daily life.
Education and Training
Amber is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with professional training rooted in both clinical rigor and community-based care. Her work across multiple states has shaped her understanding of diverse healthcare systems and reinforced her passion for accessible mental health support.
Roots and Connection to Oregon
Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Amber has lived and trained throughout the Midwest and East Coast, including time in Kansas and Baltimore, Maryland. She has long felt a connection to Oregon—her father grew up in the Woodburn area, and family trips to visit relatives and a cabin in the Wallowa Mountains were a meaningful part of her childhood. She has called Portland home since 2021 and is excited to continue serving Oregon communities through her role at Orchid Health’s Estacada clinic.

Life Outside the Clinic
Outside of work, Amber enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. She loves running, hiking local trails, skiing in the mountains, and training for long-distance races. She is currently preparing for her first ultramarathon—the JFK 50 Miler in Maryland. At home, she shares life with her partner, James, and their three furry companions: two cats and a dog.
Amber is excited to be part of the Orchid Health team and looks forward to building meaningful connections with patients and colleagues alike while supporting mental health across the community.
