Orchid Health Wade Creek clinic has hired Candice Hunter as its new Family Nurse Practitioner.

Candice brings nearly a decade of experience and expertise to the clinic. 

Candice grew up in Boring, OR., and has lived in Estacada for the past eight years. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Mt. Hood Community College and began working with Tsuga Community Commission and Providence Medical Center. During this time, Candice received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health & Science University. 

After graduating, Candice enrolled at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden Kentucky, and received her Master of Science in Nursing in December of 2017. In 2018, she began working for Multnomah County as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

• Bedside abdominal ultrasound (prenatal)

“My focus is on building a panel of patients for primary care, obstetric care, and bringing prenatal care to Estacada,” says Candice. “I want to continue to serve those in need with grace and dignity.” 

In previous roles, Candice has had a patient panel of nearly 1200 and has assisted in developing COVID-19 testing programs and piloting Provider of the Day programs. Additionally, Candice is BLS and NIH certified. 

“I’m most excited about being able to provide care to the community I live in,” says Candice on starting with the Wade Creek Clinic.
